“Create a CC Commercial Contest”
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN
I. ELIGIBILITY: Daily Local News’ “Create a CC Commercial Contest” Promotion (the “Promotion”) is open to legal residents of Pennsylvania who are 21 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees, officers and directors (including without limitation their children, parents, siblings and spouses and/or individuals living in the same household) of the Daily Local News, its parents, affiliates and subsidiaries are not eligible.
II. TO PLAY: Upload a commercial video by visiting http://dailylocal.com/cc and completing the required registration information. Video must be original. By entering a video into the Promotion, participants acknowledge the Daily Local News, DailyLocal.com and CC magazine’s right to reproduce the video for promotional purposes -- including in print, online, broadcast, et al.
III. Videos posted must be posted by March 20, 2009 to be eligible for the contest. Any disputes concerning photo eligibility will be determined by the Daily Local News and DailyLocal.com and those decisions are final.
IV. Contest voting: Votes may be cast by anyone between 5:00 p.m. EDT March 20, 2009 and noon March 25, 2009. The winner will be determined by user votes and by the Daily Local News and DailyLocal.com. The decision is final.
V. Prizes: There will be three prize levels awarded for the Promotion
Video Prizes: Top 3 videos receive 8 tickets to the premier/awards party at The Note on March 26, 2009. Grand prize winning video will be recognized at the party and his/her video will be used in promotion of the CC magazine.
Voting Prizes: 2 tickets to the premier / awards party to be held at The Note on Thursday, March 26, 2009 (random drawing). Must be 21 years or older to attend.
CLAIMING PRIZES: Winners will be contacted via e-mail by the Daily Local News by Monday, March 16, 2009. All winners must present his/her driver’s license and/or picture identification matching the information provided during registration at The Note to enter. The name on the ID MUST match the name on the registration. No exceptions. Must be at least 21 years old to attend the party. Grand prize winner will be announced at the awards party.
VI.GAME PRIZES/ODDS OF WINNING: Ticket prizes described above have an admission value of $12 per person.
THE ACTUAL ODDS OF WINNING THE GRAND PRIZE AND DAILY PRIZE WILL DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES. THE ACTUAL ODDS OF WINNING A DAILY PRIZE WILL DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF ENTRY FORMS RECEIVED AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.
VII.GENERAL TERMS:
Taxes: Each prize winner shall bear sole responsibility for any and all local, state or federal taxes on prizes and any expenses not specified herein relating to winner’s acceptance and use of the prize.
Conditions of Participant: By participating in this Promotion, each entrant agrees:
1. That these rules and all related decisions of the Daily Local News and DailyLocal.com shall be final in all respects relating to this Promotion.
2. To release, discharge, and hold harmless the Daily Local News and DailyLocal.com, its parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their respective directors, officers, shareholders, agents, and employees (collectively, “Releases”) from any and all injuries, liability, losses, and damages of any kind resulting from their participating in the Promotion or their acceptance, use, or misuse of a prize, including, without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage.
3. To the announcement/use of his/her name, voice, image, and/or likeness for trade, advertising publicity, and promotional purposes without compensation (unless prohibited by law) by the Daily Local News and DailyLocal.com and those acting pursuant to the Daily Local News and DailyLocal.com’s direction, in each case in any and all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, in perpetuity, including but not limited to the World Wide Web, without notice, review, or approval, and agree to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so.
4. That, in the event he or she wins a prize of $1,000 or more, he or she will complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and a Publicity Release within 14 days of notification. Failure to timely return documents or return of a prize notification or prize as undeliverable will cause prize to be forfeited. Releases are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (a) any human, typographical, printing or other error relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including without limitation, errors which may occur in the administration of the Promotion, processing of entries or requests for entry forms, the announcement of the prizes or in any Promotion-related materials; (b) late, lost, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, mutilated, stolen, delayed, or postage-due entries; or (c) any condition caused by events that may cause the Promotion to be disrupted or corrupted.
5. That the Daily Local News and DailyLocal.com reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Promotion if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Promotion (or portion thereof), as determined by the Daily Local News and DailyLocal.com in its sole discretion. Entry forms become the property of Daily Local News and DailyLocal.com and will not be returned. Entry forms are void if not obtained in accordance with these Official Rules, or if any part is forged, illegible, counterfeited, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, photocopied, altered, mutilated or tampered with in any way, or if they contain printing, production, typographical, mechanical or other errors.
6. In order to claim a winning prize you will be required to come to The Note, 142 East Market Street, West Chester, PA 19382 and provide proof of identification with a driver’s license and/or picture ID. Winners must comply with all contest rules or prizes will be forfeited. Winners agree to allow use of their names and pictures by the Daily Local News and DailyLocal.com for publicity purposes.
VIII.MISCELLANEOUS: For a copy of these Official Rules, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to 250 North Bradford Avenue, West Chester, PA 19382.
